Suez Canal Zone Medal Ribbon

This commemorative medal marks the service of participants and support personnel in the Suez Canal Zone. Application for the medal is open to all veterans who served in the Canal Zone form 1945 until 1957 or their next of kin. On the medal are two sets of dates - 1951/1954 and 1956/1957 representing the two most recent periods of unrest and conflict. However applicants are not restricted to these dates as the medal commemorates service in the Canal Zone.
