 Royal Air Force Officers` Dress Sword |

This quality arm is the ceremonial version of the Royal Air Force Officer Sword with scabbard. It is crafted in accordance with the British MOD specifications.
In November 2005, WKC purchased the tooling of Wilkinson Sword Ltd. for production of various ceremonial swords.
BLADE:
Forged stainless steel blade. It is hardened to ca. 48-52° HRC Rockwell, then well-tempered and hand-polished. The acid-etch is so deep, that one can feel it with a fingernail. Dimension of the blade is ca ca. 810 x 22 x 5 mm.
GUARD:
Cast brass, hand-polished, 24-carats gold-plated*. Top nut re-chiseled and 24-carats gold-plated .
Gold-plating: Gold-plated finishes are considered to be the best finishes and gives higher value to the product. Gold-plating results in a very stable, non-corrosive finish. WKC uses an electroplating bath that results in a 24-carat-gold finish that is about 99.3 to 99.7 percent of gold. Gold plating is also highly resistant to any discoloration over time.
GRIP:
Handle is covered with genuine sharkskin with goldplated wires.
SCABBARD:
Real raw-hide leather scabbard, hand-sewn, with gold-plated fittings, 2 attachment rings.
