This quality arm is the ceremonial version of the British Infantry and Corps and Royal Marines - Officers sword (1897 pattern) and scabbard. It is crafted in accordance with the British MOD specifications.
In November 2005, WKC purchased the tooling of Wilkinson Sword Ltd. for production of various ceremonial swords.
SWORD: Nato Stock No.: 8465-99-973-6877.
Nickelplated Scabbard: Nato Stock No. : 8465-99-973-6853.
Leather Scabbard: Nato Stock No. : 8465-99-127-9993
BLADE: A forged stainless steel blade; It is hardened to ca. 48-52° HRC Rockwell, then well-tempered and hand-polished. Both sides are etched with Infantry pattern. The acid-etch is so deep, that one can feel it with a fingernail. Dimensions of the blade is ca. 825 mm x 6 x 25 mm.
GUARD:
Pierced steel guard bearing the Royal cipher, hand-polished, nickel-plated guard. Cap made of brass, nickel-plated.
GRIP:
Handle covered with genuine shark skin, wrapped with 3 silver wires.
SCABBARD:Your choice of a nickel-plated and hand-polished steel tube with 2 attachment rings, or real brown calf leather scabbard.
Included Accessories: Protective cloth bag.
