1912 Pattern Cavalry Officers` Dress Sword |
This quality arm is the ceremonial version of the Cavalry Officer sword model 1912 with scabbard. It is crafted in accordance with the British MOD specifications.
In November 2005, WKC purchased the toolings of Wilkinson Sword Ltd.. for production of various ceremonial swords.
Sword: Nato Stock No.: 8465-99-973-6875.
Scabbard: Nato Stock No. : 8465-99-973-6851.
Blade:
Forged stainless steel blade. It is hardened to ca. 48-55° HRC Rockwell, then well-tempered and hand-polished. The acid-etch is so deep, that one can feel it with a fingernail. Dimension of the blade is ca 890 mm.
Guard:
Stamped brass guard with engraved designs. Solid brass cap.
Grip:
Handle is covered with genuine Fish skin with 1 silver-plated wire.
Scabbard:
Nickel-plated and hand-polished steel tube with 2 stainless steel carrying rings and nickel-plated mouthpiece.
Included Accessories:
Protective cloth bag.
